Sedans, hatches, utes and four-wheel drives all load on the tilt tray. Low or modified cars are winched at an angle that keeps the front bar clear.

Waiting on a tow truck is a great deal worse when the operator has to travel in from another region. At Clarence Valley Tow Trucks, towing in Maclean is part of our regular run rather than a job we pick up when it suits, so help is not coming from hours away. We carry cars, utes, four-wheel drives, motorcycles, caravans, trailers and light machinery. The same truck that does a short workshop transfer will do a run to Brisbane or Sydney if that is what the job calls for. If the fault turns out to be a battery, a tyre or an empty tank, a roadside callout may be all you need, and crash jobs are covered under accident towing.

Almost anything on wheels can go on the tray.

Sedans, hatches, utes and four-wheel drives all load on the tilt tray. Low or modified cars are winched at an angle that keeps the front bar clear.

Bikes travel upright and secured on soft ties. Nothing takes weight through the fairings or exhaust.

Vans, campers, boat trailers and box trailers all move, loaded or empty. We check the coupling and axle condition before anything is hooked up.

Ride-on mowers, bobcats and small excavators travel by float. We confirm weight and width before we book the truck.
A lot of our work happens outside business hours, which is exactly when workshops are shut and there is nowhere obvious to send a vehicle. We can move a car to a holding location overnight and shift it again once your repairer opens, so a Friday night breakdown does not sit on the roadside until Monday. The same applies over holiday periods, when the highway gets busy and workshops book out well in advance. If you are not sure where the vehicle should end up, tell us the situation on the phone and we will talk through the options before the truck arrives.

No. Passengers travel in the truck cab rather than in the vehicle on the tray, and most trucks have room for two.
Yes. A winch and a set of skates will pull a vehicle onto the tray without needing keys or steering.
A winch line extends well beyond the truck itself, which covers most soft verges, driveways and paddock edges. Where access is genuinely impossible, we agree the closest safe recovery point with you before setting out.
